We're Hooked

While visiting my sis-in-law Ruth, we discovered LOST since they had the 1st season on DVD. I had seen a few episodes before with friends, but since I never started at the beginning, it was hard to follow & get into. Well, in one week, we're already into season 2 and watching them on hulu.com. And it's great that we borrowed this book from Ruth to help explain each episode's mysteries!

Oh YES!!!

Two hours of fabulous-ness last night to premiere season 5!!! I can't wait for this season!

Project Runway

I just discovered this fun & creative show. The only reason I can think of that I didn't know of it sooner, is the fact that we don't have cable or even the basic channels. But I rented season 2 (they're on season 5 now) from the library & basically took today off from the classroom to watch it. (Total side note, but the library is so great!! Free rentals!! Great budget saver!) Total veg-session. Feeling a little guilty since my room is NOT done, but I enjoyed myself nonetheless. After finally showering at 4:45pm, I realized that I should enjoy these days while I can. There is no way I can get away with this once I'm a mom, so that helped the guilt..a little bit. :) Anyway, the show is so fabulous & since I'm learning how to sew, it definitely makes me excited. Not that I'll ever sew couture, but a girl can dream! And I think this will be my replacement for So You Think You Can Dance...Mom, you can start scheduling the DVR!!

SCCRRRRREEEEEEEEAAAAM!

Today, I won tickets to So You Think You Can Dance when they come to the Oracle Arena in Oakland from the radio station 99.7FM!!!!!! I never win anything & now I've won something I TOTALLY WANTED! :D I've been a giggly girl all day! Sweeet!

William is SO good! I called him as I was driving home since I heard the contest. He looked online for the phone number & thought to call the station to make sure the number was correct. The DeeJ told him it was the next song (to call in on) so we were listening to the radio via the good ol' internet & we both called in. First I got caller 12, he was 13. Then I called back & was caller 25!!! I couldn't believe it. I was so excited that I was screaming at the lady. Woo-hoo!

So, yeah, whatever, it's cool. I get to go to some concert thing about some dance show. whatever :)

Get Excited!!

We watched "So You Think You Can Dance" last night at my parents' place with my grandma (thanks, DVR). She only liked the ballroom dancing stuff--so old school. Love you, Grandma! :) Anyway, they are now down the top 10 dancers (5 couples)! And, what does this all mean exactly?!?! They're going ON TOUR! :D I've gone to concerts before but I'm usually not so gung-ho about them. I'm usually the one who goes along for the ride instead of initiating the concert plan. Well, all that's about to change! (Shout out to Tara, my concert role-model)

They are coming to the Bay Area during September! And I'm going (most likely without William, based on his reaction last night when I was jumping up & down)!! I guess the weekly torture is enough for him. Bummer.
