Styled // Inspired Vintage Car Shoot

When Emily, from Sparkle Meets Pop,  approached me about doing an inspired photo shoot with her grandfather's 1970 Mercedes Benz, I was giddy! More opportunity to practice? A styled shoot?! Heck, YES! It was a great chance to try new ideas, different edits, and try my hand with the delicious morning sun. Thanks, Emily, for being such a FUN collaboration partner!! Let's do it again!

Now that I have my camera pretty much everywhere we go, I captured our afternoon with some of our besties.

Our class is coming to an end! So sad! And I'm not quite sure what my next steps will be to challenge myself to grow. I would love to invest in more editing software, a few more lenses and eventually an upgraded body. But who's got the money for that?! Not me, right now. A girl can dream and pray though and put the word out in case anyone is ready to unload some old equipment, no? ;)

A is for Apple.

We started rowing a new book this week call How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World. Yet another great read. We spent a good chunk of time at the library first thing this week; picking up picture books about all the places the girl travels to get her ingredients because the market is closed: France, Italy, Sri Lanka, England, Jamaica, and Vermont. One of my favorite aspects of this curriculum is getting to water the adventurous-spirit-and-travel-bug seed with geography.  

We're also going the uber classic route and doing the letter A and apple activities. Because I can play the cliche card every now and again. ;)

We discussed the parts of an apple.

Over the weekend, I got to hang out with these two precious babes. My highlight, besides getting to capture their goregous faces, was holding them at various points through the shoot. And their Mama is doing a major job loving on them, so close in age--total hero in my book. Thank you, Ashley, for sharing your littles with me!
